Terms and Conditions
All our Products made by us are subject to the following Terms and Conditions.
INGREDIENTS
All cakes, fillings and icings may contain, or come into contact with, soy, wheat, dairy, nuts or other allergens.
It is the responsibility of the Customer to inform me prior to the confirmation of their booking of any allergy issues. It is the responsibility of the Customer to inform their guests of all allergy information and accordingly GOURMET HOUSE will not be held liable for any allergic reaction resulting from consumption of the cake.
All products are made to be eaten on the day of the celebration.
QUOTATIONS
All Quotations are valid for 7 days from the date of issue.
ORDERS
We prefer at least fourteen (14) days notice for all orders, as we are continually booked in advance. We will however endeavor, where availability permits accept short notice cakes.
Any Products ordered from a picture or photo of a product produced by any other cake maker, can only be reproduced by us as our interpretation of that product and will NOT be an exact reproduction of the product in the picture or photo.
DEPOSITS
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to hold your date within seven (7) days prior to pickup.
Where we have delivered what is quoted and invoiced, but the Customer does not accept the finished Product, the deposit WILL NOT be refunded. The Customer can choose to pay the remainder and take the Product/s, or leave them at no extra cost.
QUALITY AND PICK UP
It is the responsibility of the Customer to check the state of the product before leaving the premises. Once the item has left the premises, the Customer is responsible to ensure that products gets to its destination safely and is stored as per our instructions to achieve best results for taste and quality.
The Customer is liable for any damage, accident, or mishap that may occur once the cake is released from the care and custody of the Gourmet House. Gourmet House is not liable for any damage that may occur thereafter.
Return and Refund Policy
As our product is perishable, baked and decorated by our skilled staff, our refund policy is as follows:
- If you do not pick up your order, we do not give a refund. If you need it at a later date, you will have to pay for both. We cannot resell any product that is not picked up by the customer.
- If there is a defect in your product please return it promptly, or the portion remaining, on the next day of pick up. We retain the right to judge our product quality for ourselves.
- Cancellations and/or changes for decorated cake orders, must be made at least 3 business days in advance of the scheduled pick up time. There are no cash refunds if you have to cancel your order.
- Classic tiers and Classic Wedding Cakes – Please be sure you want the cake before placing the order. Changes may be made to the decoration of the cake with 3 business days notice. NO REFUNDS OR CREDIT.
- We can change the schedule date of your order with at least 3 days of advance notice without any charge.
- No refund will be given ever for an amount in excess of the original purchase price regardless of circumstance.
